I-CARE Social Enterprise Startup Scheme

The Scheme not only sponsors students and young alumni to transform their creative business ideas into meaningful startups, but most importantly offers intensive coaching to them through a mentorship programme in which the experts in real business sector take part. With “CUSU Fund” under the Scheme, participants validate, establish or scale up their social enterprises.

Up to HK$100,000 per project

S.I. Leadership Award Scheme

The Scheme is administered by Yunus Social Business Centre@CUHK, which is an affiliate of the I·CARE Centre for Whole-person Development, for application by students and alumni who are interested in social innovation. Through training, mentorship and competition, the Scheme encourages participants to advance existing services or products. They will gain in-depth knowledge of the underprivileged and adopt people-oriented approach to address social needs and challenges.

Minor Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPIN)

Officially launched in September 2017, EPIN is a first-of-its-kind programme in Hong Kong open to all CUHK undergraduates. EPIN is committed to nurture entrepreneurship mindset that make leaders future-compatible, offering comprehensive training on creativity and interdisciplinary knowledge, as well as a platform to learn, practice and make things happen. Students are required to complete a minimum of 18 units of courses from 3 key areas below,

*EPIN also offers credit-bearing internship opportunities and overseas learning experiences under Practices.
